Courtney McCullough

Courtney McCullough is a junior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the golf team, secretary of FCCLA and Link leader of 2 link crews. Outside of school, Courtney is the Lutheran Youth District representative for Kansas and a junior volunteer at Shiloh Ranch Ministries. She says she loves Mr. Massey's American Studies class because he makes class exciting and she gets to better understand the world we live in. After graduating from high school, Courtney plans on attending college and entering into the Animal Pathway. Courtney says she has a dog named Val, a sister, Claire, who is in the 8th grade, and her parents own Housemaster Home Inspections.

Megan Householter

Megan Householter is a junior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the soccer team and Model UN her freshman and sophomore year. Outside of school, she participates in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, assistant soccer coach and Club Soccer with Mid-Kansas United. Megan says most of her teachers have been fun and made classes interesting. After graduating from high school, Megan would like to attend either K-State or Fort Hays University and major in education being either a science or history teacher. Megan says her mother is a teacher at South Middle and she has 2 sisters and 6 pets. She says she has also played soccer since kindergarten.

Dylan Henry

Dylan Henry is a senior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the band and swimming team, working the pit for musicals and being a drum line section leader. Dylan says the best part about school is doing science labs and playing in the school band. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending KSU and studying Wildlife and Conservation Biology. In his spare time, Dylan takes drum lessons and he is currently preparing for KSU drum line auditions.

Mia Dinnett

Mia Dinnett is a sophomore at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the New Dawn, Thespians and she is also a drama club officer. Outside of school, Mia participates at the Salina Community Theatre as a crew work member and a performer. Mia says she enjoys taking part in theatre, choir and New Dawn at South High. Mia says she has 2 dogs, Moxie and Gusto.

Laura Leger

Laura Leger is a senior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the girls' soccer team, STUCO and SAFE Club. Laura says what she likes best about school are the classes that challenge her to work harder such as AP Chemistry and college classes. After graduating from high school, Laura would like to attend Kansas State University to major in mechanical engineering or kinesiology. In her spare time, Laura likes playing the guitar, piano, cello and viola. She says she also has 3 dogs, 4 cats and 2 turtles.

Jaia Varela

Jaia Varela is a junior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the pole vault/track team and also the dance team/Peppers. Outside of school, Jaia is a recreational and team gymnastics coach at the YMCA and she also works at the Alley. Jaia says she enjoys learning and seeing her friends at school. Her favorite subject is human anatomy and physiology and her favorite teacher is Mr. Lynn. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending Wichita State to study psychology or biology. In her spare time, she likes dancing, hanging out with her friends, sleeping, making tik-toks and spending time with her cat, Pippa. Jaia has 2 brothers and 2 cats.

Travis Truong

Travis Truong is a junior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the BPA and Politics Club. Travis says his favorite teacher at South High is Mrs. Chamberlain because she is friendly and teaches the class well. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend Wichita State, K-State or KU to major in business, finance or politics. In his spare time, Travis enjoys playing video games. Travis says he has 1 sister, 1 brother and 2 cats.

Peyton Froome

Kylie Arnold is a sophomore at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the cross country and girls' basketball teams. Kylie says every sports team she has played on are good groups of people and fun to be around even when not competing. This year she says she has enjoyed being in chemistry and conditioning. After graduating from high school, she would like to attend Pittsburg State or Ft. Hays to play basketball. Eventually she would like to study dentistry and become a pediatric dentist. In her spare time, Kylie enjoys staying active and running 5Ks with her dad in addition to spending quality time with her family.

Peyton Froome

Peyton Froome is a senior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of mathletes, Science Olympiad, newspaper, student council, senior class president, NHS president and she is also a member of the volleyball and softball team at South High. Outside of school, Peyton participates in Relay for Life, coaches a volleyball youth team and volunteers at youth sports camps. She says her favorite subject is history because it teaches important lessons and feels more personal than math or science. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending K-State with an undecided major. In her spare time, Peyton works at Pretzelmaker and likes to read and hang out with her dog.

Dev Patel

Dev Patel is a junior at Salina South High School. Dev says he does not participate in any school activities but is a dedicated fan. Outside of school, he participates in the Relay for Life. Dev says he loves Paw-Mart and his favorite teacher at South High is Mrs. Chamberlain because he likes her teaching style. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending K-State to major in business or engineering.

Devon Junghans

Devon Junghans is a junior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the basketball and track team and a member of Stuco. Outside of school, Devon participates in the Junior Cougs, Angel Tree and the blood drive. Devon says the best part about school are the people such as his friends and teachers especially Mrs. Chamberlain who is always helping him when she can. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend K-State to study chiropractor or physical therapy. In his spare time, Devon says he likes to do anything that has to do with sports, video games and hanging out with his family and friends. He also has a bulldog mixed with a pug.

Brock

Brock Roets is a senior at Salina South High School. He participated in school activities during his freshman year by being a member of the robotics and comic book club and was a school library aide for the past two years. Outside of school, he has worked at the Salina Public Library for about 2-1/2 years. Brock says the best part about school is meeting new teachers and students and he says it is fun to talk Star Trek with Mr. Massey. After graduating from high school, he plans on becoming a mailman and maybe getting a business degree. In his spare time, Brock likes to play the guitar and bass guitar. He also enjoys building computers.

Lindsay Brown

Lindsay Brown is a senior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the girls' golf team and band where she was clarinet section leader in 10th and 11th grade and drum major in 12th grade. She is also the treasurer of the South National Honor Society. Lindsay says her favorite class is AP Chemistry because she loves doing labs and she says her teacher, Mrs. Chamberlain, is amazing. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending Kansas State University to pursue a degree in medical laboratory science. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys playing golf, cheering on the Wildcats, spending time with her friends, band, and playing with her dog.

Ethan Sankey

Ethan Sankey is a senior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the football team, STUCO chairman of Rules and Values, Model UN and Science Olympiad. Outside of school, Ethan participates in Relay for Life. Ethan says he likes how friendly, helpful and interesting all of his teachers are and how they genuinely care and try to make him better everyday. After graduating from high school, Ethan plans on attending KU and majoring in economics.

Morgan Fischer

Morgan Fischer is a junior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the cross country and soccer team. She is also the STUCO secretary and a member of the Link Crew and Math Relays. Outside of school, she participates in Relay for Life. Morgan says the best part about South High are the teachers and coaches that invest a lot of time into the students' success and she also enjoys Mrs. Chamberlain's AP Chemistry class. After graduating from high school, Morgan plans on playing soccer and majoring in pre-medicine but is undecided on a college at this time. In her spare time, Morgan plays club soccer for Kansas Rush Wichita. She also has a brother and sister.

Ariana Nunez

Ariana Nunez is a sophomore at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the varsity debate team, BPA, band and forensics. Ariana says she likes AP World because she has a good teacher and it is interesting to learn about. She says she also likes debate because of the people and the teacher.  After graduating from high school, Ariana plans on taking a gap year then hopefully attending college after that.

Joshua Jordan

Joshua Jordan is a junior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the basketball and tennis team. Outside of school, Joshua works during the summer with his basketball team holding a camp and also helps serve lunch occasionally at the YMCA. He says the best part about school is seeing his friends and having a good time plus the teachers are great at South High. After graduating from high school, Joshua would like to become a physical therapist but is unsure which college he will attend at this time.

Brianna Fortune

Brianna Fortune is a freshman at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by taking guitar lessons. Brianna says she likes the gold and green days at South High so that she has more time to do her homework. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending college but is unsure of what her major will be at this time. In her spare time, Brianna likes to draw and paint and in the summer she enjoys swimming.

Ethan Elam

Ethan Elam is a senior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the Student Council. Outside of school, Ethan participates in the Relay for Life and also works at Pretzel Maker. He says he likes the teachers at South High because they provide a positive and fun environment. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending Kansas State University. Ethan says he has 1 dog and 3 horses.

Mystique Escobedo

Mystique Escobedo is a senior. She participates in school activities by being a thrower on the track team. Outside of school, she is currently employed at the Salina Regional Health Center. Mystique says she really likes the teachers at South High because they encourage her and help her to be successful in her high school career. She says Mr. Wendell, Lynn and Massey have been really great. After graduating from high school, Mystique plans on attending K-State and majoring in architecture.

Nathan Streeter

Nathan Streeter is a junior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of theatre, robotics, New Dawn and the Scholar's Bowl. Outside of school, he participates in the KWU Orchestra and the Salina Youth Symphony. Nathan says his favorite subject is history and he also enjoys being in the performing arts. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending college and becoming a civil engineer but is undecided what college at this time. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys playing the violin which he has played for 12 years. He also has 2 dogs.

Madalyn Crow

Madalyn Crow is a junior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the volleyball and soccer team and is a writing center coach. Outside of school, Madalyn volunteers for VBS. Madalyn says she likes supporting school sports because it is a fun and exciting environment, especially when they are winning. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending college but is unsure where at this time. In her spare time, Madalyn says if she isn't playing soccer or volleyball, then she is either eating or sleeping.


 

Nicholas Lake

Nicholas is a senior this year at South High and is the son of Phuong Lake and Richard Lake.  He currently has an unweighted grade point average of 4.375. He is involved in the South High Robotics club.
What Nicholas likes best about school is expanding his knowledge, specifically through his involvement with the Robotics Club.  It ties in with the major he wants to pursue and will lead him into participating with the Formula SAE Team and Kansas State. 
His post high school plans are to major in Mechanical engineering at Kansas State University.
Nicholas wants you to know that he loves cars, particularly 1990 and early 2000 Japanese cars.  He also likes to perform vehicle maintenance on his own car and draw cars when he is bored.


 

Maisy Lowers

Maeci is a Junior at South High this year and is the daughter of Linn Exline and Curt Exline. At South High, Maeci participates in Link Crew and the We Dine Together club. She is a member and section leader of the South High band. She also is a member of the girls swim team and manager of the boys swim team. She helps out with Vacation Bible School and also teaches Preschool Sunday school at her church. What she likes best about school is managing the boys swim team because it gives her an opportunity to hang out with her friends every day after school. Maeci plans on attending Wichita State to earn a degree in nursing.
She would like you to know that she has twin brothers and 2 other sisters. She loves lifeguarding and Kenwood Cove and she has a cute little dog named Cleo. Congratulations, Maeci!


 

Maisy Lowers

Maisy Lowers is a Senior at South High School. Her parents are Mike Lowers and Kristine Lowers. School Activities, and leadership roles Maisy is involved include, Drama Club Officer, Props Crew Chief, Vocal , Writing Center coach, Link Leader and National Honors Society. What she likes best about school is her teachers and Fine Arts classes. Her post high school plans include dual majoring in history and english. Stay tuned for the college choice. What Maisy would like you all to know is that she has a very cute dog named Bindi (pronounced Bendy)


 

 

Jennifer Nguyen

Jennifer Nguyen is a sophomore with a 4.0 GPA and is the daughter of Mien and Lan Nguyen. At South High, Jennifer participates by being a member of the Colorguard team, a Link Crew leader and Vice-President of the Sophomore class. In the community Jennifer participates in the Relay for Life. Jennifer enjoys attending South High because she appreciates how the passion of a teacher can positively impact a student. After graduation, Jennifer plans to major in Education.  Congratulations, Jennifer!
