4th Quarter Information

Information for South High 4th Quarter

On April 1st, all students will be attending South High School all day. (Remote students will remain off-site.)

FAQ:

  • Masks will continue to be required.
  • The daily schedule will remain from 7:45 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.

  • Bussing will no longer be available for everyone. Bussing will only be available for students living beyond 2.5 miles from South High School. If you have questions about transportation, please contact Durham Transportation Services or the USD 305 District Office.

  • Shuttle busses will be available each period to students who travel to Central High School classes.

  • Students will enter the building either through the front entrance or the attendance entrance. Doors will not open until 7:10 a.m.

  • Students that are not supervised by faculty or staff after school will be required to leave the building by 3:00 p.m.

  • Students will follow the Gold schedule (2, 4, 6, & 8th block on their schedule) every day of the week.

  • Students will be in four, 80 minute classes every day, plus a 45 minute ELO.

  • There will be four 25-minute lunch sessions during the 3rd period of the day (6th block).

  • Students will receive lunch and the following day’s breakfast (to-go bag) each day.

  • During lunch, students will sit in the lunch room in the same seats throughout the 4th quarter in order to contact trace.

  • Teachers will have seating charts in each class for contact tracing.

  • Classroom procedures will change as there will be reduced distancing with more students.

  • When possible, students will be in cohort groups in order to provide some distancing.

  • We will limit person-to-person contact.

  • There will not be any full-school assemblies or events.

  • There will not be any field trips.

  • We will continue to limit visitors to the office.

  • Credit Recovery will be offered after school only.
