ACT/SAT Test Prep - METHODIZEStudents can take advantage of ACT/SAT Test Prep in XELLO. Methodize is Method Learning’s brand new online learning platform. Methodize consists of newly updated and revised ACT and SAT courses. Our online program has served over a million students in the past two decades and Methodize distills that experience into a new platform that makes it easier for students and teachers to do test prep. Students can access Methodize under "Links and Resources" in their XELLO account.

ACT testing at SHS begins at 8:00 a.m. and students are encouraged to report no later than 7:45 a.m. on the day of the test.
For the 2025-26 school year, the ACT is offered free for juniors at South High during the school day on February 24, 2026. The sign up window will close December 15, 2025. If you have questions, please reach out to our Testing Coordinator or a counselor.
Seniors who did not take the free ACT in the spring of 2025 are eligible to take the ACT for free on the February testing date.

Pre-ACT
The Pre-ACT is taken by all freshmen during the school day on October 28, 2025.
ACT WorkKeys
ACT WorkKeys is offered free to juniors at SHS and takes place during the school day. This school year’s test will be offered October 29, 2025. Registration is open until August 20, 2025.
- Register through the building testing coordinator, in the counseling office.
- Students will hear about the test through their ELO classes and it will be included in daily SHS announcements.
- Students who register to take the ACT WorkKeys are encouraged to arrive by 7:45 a.m. on the testing day because the test begins at 8:00 a.m. at South High School.
