Athletic Eligibility

Register with NCAA Eligibility Center
If you want to compete in NCAA sports, you need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Plan to register before starting your freshman year of high school (or year nine of secondary school). The information below will help guide you through the registration process.
To get started, review the three account options and choose the one that's right for you! You'll only need to create one account with the Eligibility Center. Starting with the free Profile Page is best practice, as you can transition it later to the Certification account needed for your circumstances.
Option 1 = Free Profile Page Account
Option 2 = Amateurism-Only Certification Account
Option 3 = Academic and Amateurism Certification Account
If you need to exit and come back at a later time, you can save and exit once your account or profile is created. Reference the Help section located in the top task bar at any time to answer your questions as you work through registration.

PlayNAIA.org helps future student-athletes discover and connect with NAIA schools, coaches, and athletic scholarships. PlayNAIA is also the official clearinghouse for NAIA eligibility. Every student-athlete must register with the NAIA Eligibility Center to play sports at an NAIA college or university.
New Freshmen GPA Requirements
Incoming freshmen can now become NAIA eligible without a test score or class rank provided they meet the following minimum GPA (on a 4.0 scale):
- 2.3 GPA for recent graduates
- 2.8 GPA for students who have completed their 7th semester*
- 3.3 GPA for students who have completed their junior year
Students who do not meet the 2.3 minimum GPA upon graduation may still gain eligibility by meeting two of the following three criteria:
-
2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
-
Rank in the top 50% of graduating class
-
Qualifying test score: ACT: 18 (Composite) or SAT: 970 (Critical Reading and Math combined)
* As of May 1, senior mid-year transcripts are no longer accepted for graduating seniors. A senior final-year transcript must be uploaded for these students.
