"The friendly face of knowledge acquisition"
I am proud to be a Cougar and serve the students and staff of South High. I joined the staff in 2007, and I taught social studies for ten years. I obtained my library media specialist endorsement from Fort Hays State University, a Masters from Rockhurst University, and an undergraduate degree from Baker University. Although I have an affinity for the Kansas Jayhawks (Rock Chalk)--especially during basketball season.

Mrs. Hernandez is a graduate of Salina High School South. She assists the library and counseling departments. Students may see her for tech repair work orders and for help with library materials.
